The College Soccer Prospects National Showcase will be held at Johnson Athletic Field on the campus of Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL. Eckerd College is a member of the DII Sunshine State Conference. The participants in the national event will represent some of the top players across the country who attended a previous College Soccer Prospects Regional events this fall or received an invite. Players will be afforded the opportunity to work with our on-field staff of college coaches to get valuable feedback on their skills through in-person evaluations and coaching. We will also be inviting a list of other coaches to the event to observe the two days of action.

Players will be broken down into seven teams that will represent the respective North, East, South and West regions of the United States. Each team will consist of 2 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 6 midfielders, and 6 forwards. Players will receive equal playing time to ensure a proper in-game evaluation.

WHAT WILL BE INCLUDED AS PART OF THE CCSC NATIONAL SHOWCASE

TEAM TRAINING SESSION: Each team will get a training session on field with their assigned team coach as well as all of the coaches in attendance for evaluation.

INDIVIDUAL TEAM TALK: Each team will get to have a more intimate discussion with a college coach to ask questions and discuss what coaches look for in game play and showcasing environments.

TEAM SHOWCASE GAMES: Each team will play 3 full 11v11 games each on Saturday & Sunday. All players will receive equal playing time to ensure a proper in-game evaluation.

COLLEGE ATHLETICS EDUCATION SEMINAR: On DAY & DAY before the start of the showcase our staff of coaches will present a discussion with parents and players on development at the college level and the college recruiting process. This will be an open forum between parents, players and the coaches that are involved in these processes on a day-to-day basis.

HOW DOES THIS DIFFER FROM A STANDARD CCSC REGIONAL EVENT?

Much like our CCSC regional events we will put college coaches on the field with high school players who want to learn under the tutelage of the actual coaches who are at the college level. However, there are some great additions to our National Event that differ from our regional events:

1. Live Full-Sided Game Play with preset playing schedules
2. Intimate small group discussions with coaches about how to engage college coaches in a coaching and showcasing environment
3. Each player will be provided a numbered jersey
4. Opportunity to compete against players from all over the country

6:30pm - Player Check-In / Jersey Distribution (Eckerd College - Miller Auditorium)
7:00pm – 7:45pm – Introduction of Coaches & Discussion with Campers on the College Experience

 SATURDAY, JANUARY 18TH

9:00am - 10:00am – Team Training
 
Showcase Games  (players arrive 30 minutes before their games)
10:30am – North vs South
12:30pm – East vs West
2:30pm – South vs West
